Welcome to Geneva Movers. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any service. These terms apply to all clients who engage with our moving, storage, and related services.

1. General Terms

1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Geneva Movers (referred to as “we,” “our,” “us”) and the customer (referred to as “you,” “your,” or “client”) for the provision of moving, storage, and related services.

1.2 By requesting or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

2.1 Geneva Movers offers a variety of moving and storage services, including local moving, long-distance moving, residential moving, commercial moving, moving and storage, packing, and unpacking services.

2.2 The specific services provided will be outlined in the contract or estimate that is agreed upon between you and Geneva Movers.

3. Estimates and Pricing

3.1 All estimates provided by Geneva Movers are based on the information provided by you and are subject to change based on actual conditions at the time of the move.

3.2 Pricing for moving services is typically based on hourly rates, flat fees, or a combination of both, depending on the scope of the move. Storage services are billed according to the size of the storage unit, duration of storage, and any additional services provided.

3.3 If additional services are required or requested that are not included in the original estimate, additional charges will apply. These services include but are not limited to packing, unpacking, heavy or oversized items, or long-term storage.

3.4 We reserve the right to charge for any additional time required due to unexpected delays or circumstances that arise during the move, including but not limited to traffic, inclement weather, or delays in accessing the property.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 A deposit may be required at the time of booking the move. The balance is due upon completion of the services provided.

4.2 Payments can be made by credit card, cash, or check, as specified by Geneva Movers.

4.3 If payment is not made in full upon completion of the move, a late fee may be applied, and the account may be turned over to collections if the balance remains unpaid.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

5.1 You may cancel or reschedule your move by notifying Geneva Movers at least 48 hours before the scheduled moving date to avoid cancellation fees.

5.2 If you cancel the move within 48 hours of the scheduled date, you may be subject to a cancellation fee. The amount of the cancellation fee will depend on the size and nature of the move.

5.3 If you reschedule a move, the new date must be within 30 days of the original scheduled date, subject to availability.

6. Client’s Responsibilities

6.1 You agree to provide clear access to the property for the movers and ensure that all pathways are free of obstacles that may hinder the safe transport of your belongings.

6.2 You are responsible for ensuring that all items being moved are packed securely and appropriately. We recommend that fragile, valuable, or sensitive items (such as electronics, jewelry, antiques, or artwork) be packed by our professional packing team or by yourself using proper materials.

6.3 You must disclose any items that are hazardous or prohibited by law (e.g., flammable materials, chemicals, etc.). We reserve the right to refuse to move these items for safety and legal reasons.

6.4 If items are not adequately packed or improperly secured, Geneva Movers will not be held responsible for any damages that occur during the move.

6.5 You are responsible for the removal of any items that require disassembly or that may present an obstruction to the movers, such as large appliances or heavy furniture.

7. Liability and Insurance

7.1 Geneva Movers is fully insured for damages or losses that may occur during the move, subject to the terms of our insurance policy. However, we are not responsible for damages resulting from improper packing, pre-existing damage, or damages to items that we are not instructed to handle.

7.2 You may purchase additional insurance or coverage for valuable or fragile items that require extra protection during the move. This insurance will be discussed and arranged before the move.

7.3 Our liability for damage to your belongings is limited to the value of the item as outlined in the contract, or the maximum value as specified by state law.

8. Damages and Claims

8.1 In the event that damages occur during the moving process, you must notify Geneva Movers within 72 hours of delivery. Claims must be made in writing, and all supporting documentation (photos, lists of damaged items, etc.) should be submitted.

8.2 Any claims for damage or loss will be processed based on the type of coverage selected, the circumstances of the move, and our inspection of the damaged items.

8.3 Claims for damages to items that are not packed by Geneva Movers will not be accepted unless it is determined that the damage occurred due to our actions during the move.

9. Storage Terms

9.1 If you require storage services, Geneva Movers will provide a secure, climate-controlled facility for your belongings.

9.2 You are responsible for ensuring that your belongings are packed properly for storage. Geneva Movers is not liable for items that are improperly packed or stored outside of our designated storage areas.

9.3 Storage fees are due as agreed upon in the service contract. If payment for storage is not received on time, Geneva Movers reserves the right to move your items to a different facility or take other appropriate actions to recover fees.

9.4 You must notify us of your intended pick-up or delivery dates for stored items. Failure to do so may result in additional storage charges.

10. Termination of Services

10.1 Geneva Movers reserves the right to terminate services if you fail to comply with the terms of this agreement, including failure to make payments, failure to provide access to your property, or providing inaccurate information about the items to be moved.

10.2 If services are terminated, you may still be responsible for any charges incurred up to the point of termination, including transportation costs, packing fees, and any cancellation or rescheduling fees.

11. Force Majeure

11.1 Geneva Movers will not be held responsible for delays, damages, or non-performance of services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, inclement weather, or government actions.

11.2 In the event of force majeure, we will notify you as soon as possible and work with you to reschedule the move or storage service.

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 In the event of any disputes, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue through informal negotiations or mediation before pursuing legal action.

12.2 If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit the matter to binding arbitration, as required by law, to reach a fair resolution.

13. Governing Law

13.1 These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

14. Modifications to Terms

14.1 Geneva Movers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
